Author's Notes:

Cayt: I cannot tell you how hard Ari and I slaved over this sequence (and the ones to follow!) to make sure everything threaded together and hit the way we wanted to. Nothing is ever perfect, but we are VERY proud.

PIPER: Whenever Anthony and me are fighting, Mum gives us a talking stick, and we take turns.
PIPER: It's great, 'cuz Anthony's not strong enough to take it away from me.

CUR: Yeah, we en't doing that.
PIPER: No talking. I have the stick, so I go first.

CUR: Where'd you even come from—
PIPER: Still my turn. Stick!
[SFX: BONK]

PIPER: I followed her.
PIPER: Anyway, you might as well sit and talk, 'cuz your whole plan is bunk to begin with.

PIPER: I give Anthony a good three loops around the town...
PIPER: ...before the grown-ups get sick of his wild goose chase and he shows 'em your trail.

CUR: Like the grown-ups even care.
PIPER: Stick.
PIPER: I wish the grown-ups hated you as much as you say they do.
PIPER: Then we could all go home. In case you haven't noticed, it's bloomin' cold out!

CUR: That's—

CUR: ...

PIPER: Good boy.
PIPER: Anyway, the point is, they don't hate you.

PIPER: In fact, loads of creatures would be gutted if you left. Like, really gutted.
PIPER: Look at Kira. She went loony over it. No offense.

PIPER: What I'm trying to say is Anthony and I fight, but we still love each other.
PIPER: So maybe quit trying to claw each others' eyes out and use the stick??

KIRA: You said they abandoned me.

KIRA: What do you know about my family?

CUR: Wait, I didn—
KIRA: Shut up and lemme talk fer once.

PIPER : Chaque fois qu'Anthony et moi nous disputons, maman nous donne un bâton de parole et nous parlons à tour de rôle.
PIPER : C'est génial, parce qu'Anthony n'est pas assez fort pour me le prendre.

CABOT : Ouais, on va pas faire ça.
PIPER : Ne parle pas. J'ai le bâton, alors je parle.

CABOT : Et pui d'où tu sors-
PIPER : Toujours mon tour. Bâton!
[SFX : BONK]

PIPER : Je l'ai suivie.
PIPER : Quoi qu'il en soit, tu ferais aussi bien de t'asseoir et de parler, parce que tout ton plan c'est de la foutaise pour commencer.

PIPER : Je donne à Anthony trois bons tours autour de la ville...
PIPER : ...avant que les grands n'en aient assez de sa chasse au Dahut et qu'il leur montre votre trace.

CABOT : Comme si les grands en avaient quelque chose à faire.
PIPER : Bâton.
PIPER : J'aimerais que les grands te détestent autant que tu le dis.
PIPER : Alors nous pourrions tous rentrer à la maison. Au cas où vous ne l'auriez pas remarqué, il fait un patin de froid dehors !

CABOT : C'est-

CABOT : ...

PIPER : Bon garçon.
PIPER : Quoi qu'il en soit, le fait est qu'ils ne te détestent pas.

PIPER : En fait, des tas de créatures seraient dévastées si tu partais. Genre, vraiment effondrées.
PIPER : Regarde Kira. Elle en est devenue dingue. Ne le prends pas mal.

PIPER : Ce que j'essaie de dire, c'est qu'Anthony et moi nous disputons, mais nous nous aimons toujours.
PIPER : Alors essayez peut-être d'arrêter de vous étriper et utilisez le bâton ??
