Transcripts
OAKEWOOD: Mx. Tagg, Mr Danger, if you don’t mind a moment of your time, I do have a quandary you might help with…
MILO: U…Uncle!
MILO: Uncle we’re not…we’re not supposed to talk to…
OAKEWOOD: Milo Jamiton, don’t be a disrespectful git! If your father could hear you today, he’d be ashamed!
MILO: b-but…we’re not…supposed to…
OAKEWOOD: Have a spine, boy!
MILO: Y…yes, sir.
OAKEWOOD: I apologize for my daft godson. He’s young. At any rate, I understand if you don’t wish to help, but we need to learn more about Tamberlane.
TAMBERLANE: I’m a Tamberlane!
OAKEWOOD: I only want to know, have you seen anything like her in Follybrook?
TAGG: I just want to go home.
DANGER; Tagg, he has been alright to us…
Woah WOah. Up till now I thought that the reaction to those two was that those two are like scary people or something. like they have mob ties. that was why i thought people were avoiding them like the plague… Now I think it might be that they think they are like LITERALLY avoiding them like the plague. “we didn’t touch her” from the previous page. I thought that was a “we didn’t hurt her” sort of thing, but now i think it was literally about TOUCHING her, like it would infect her or something…. Am I onto something?
Mx? really?
Love Danger’s expression in panel five! 🙂
Mx. Tagg? what does the Mx stand for? mix? is that a word that can be used for Gender Non-binary people?
I love this entire comic so much, from the representation of lgbt to the casual nudity! It feels great to read something that shows so much of what I believe in! 😀 My partner got the 2 physical copies of the comic and I love them so much.
‘Disrespectful git!’ If that doesn’t suggest this is analogous to the North of England (what with flat caps and all) then nothing does.
And it means the Corgis could well be from that hub of civilisation (that’s a bit miffed with the English) called Wales!

I love Tamberlane’s DUHHH face.
Poor Milo.
So… How should I read Mx.?
I bet they are the equivalent of trans people: people avoiding them as in a xenophobic society, unusual pronouns, cut tail, etc…
