GENEVIEVE: He's my son!
HONEY: All the more reason we must be just.
HONEY: We must have no exceptions for Council members or their families.
TESS: But do we dare risk tearing a family apart over some questions?
TESS: We took over the Council to stop trials like that. Iyou ask me, we should change the Edicts.
TIMMOTHY: I understand your desire, Tess. Of course I do. But...
TIMMOTHY: You know as well as I do that the Edicts are from Parliament. They are sacred.
TIMMOTHY: It's not within our power to change them.
SCOTT: And I must remind you, Tess...
SCOTT: When you signed onto the Council, you swore to uphold the Edicts.
SCOTT: As did we all.
TESS: ...to trial, then.
GENEVIEVE: Yes... To trial.
GENEVIÈVE : Tu ne peux pas être sérieux !
GENEVIÈVE : C'est mon fils !
HONEY : Raison de plus pour que nous soyons justes.
HONEY : Nous ne devons faire aucune exception pour les membres du Conseil ou leurs familles.
TESS : Mais oserons-nous risquer de déchirer une famille à cause de quelques questions ?
TESS : Nous avons pris le contrôle du Conseil pour arrêter d'avoir des procès comme celui-là. Si vous me le demandez, nous devrions changer les édits.
TIMMOTHY : Je comprends ton désir, Tess. Bien sur que oui. Mais...
TIMMOTHY : Tu sais aussi bien que moi que les édits proviennent du Parlement. Ils sont sacrés.
TIMMOTHY : Il n'est pas en notre pouvoir de les changer.
SCOTT : Et je dois te le rappeler, Tess...

TESS: Mas nós arriscaremos arrasar uma família por algumas perguntas?
TESS: Nós tomamos conta do Conselho para parar julgamentos como esses. Na minha opinião, deviamos mudar os Éditos.
TIMMOTHY: Eu entendo seu desejo, Tess. Claro que eu entendo. Mas...
TIMMOTHY: Você sabe tão bem quanto eu que os Éditos são do Parlamento. Eles são sagrados.
TIMMOTHY: Mudar eles não está dentro de nosso poder.
SCOTT: E eu devo te lembrar, Tess...
SCOTT: Quando você colocou sua assinatura no Conselho, você jurou defender os Éditos.
SCOTT: Assim como nós todos.
